Malayalam actress abduction case: Popular actor Dileep arrested on charges of conspiracy and abduction
The police have taken Dileep into custody on Monday in connection with the Malayalam actress abduction case.

Popular Malayalam actor Dileep was arrested on 10 July evening in connection with the abduction and sexual assault of an actor in Kochi in February this year, reports The Hindu. [caption id="attachment_3797785" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Dileep. Image via Twitter[/caption]The actor was first arrested after there was a probe into the conspiracy of the case after the arrest of the prime accused Sunil Kumar aka Pulsar Suni. The office of the Chief Minsiter Pinarayi Vijayan confirmed the actor’s arrest.Also Read: Malayalam actress molestation case: Freeing Kerala film industry from criminals will need a massive political willThese developments took place after an examination of SIM cards that the prime accused used, which revealed that he frequently called an accomplice of actor Dileep.It was previously reported that when actor not being accused of any crime when he was interogatted for 13 hours by the police. TP Senkumar, the director-general of police had said that, "I cannot say if he is involved in the case or not. But on the day Dileep was questioned, there was no evidence against him."Dileep became a part of the case after his name appeared in a letter written by the main accused Pulsar Suni's former cellmate in which he was asked to pay Rs 1.5 crore so that Suni would not implicate him.The actress was kidnapped and assaulted on 19 February in a moving care on her way to Kochi. Conspiracy behind the attack was hatched several years back and it was in the second attempt to harass the woman.
