Leo box office: Thalapathy Vijay starrer beats Kamal Haasan-Fahadh Faasil-Vijay Sethupathi's Vikram - here's how
Thalapathy Vijay's Leo is set to enter the Rs 500 crore club at the global box office

Thalapathy Vijay starrer pan-India biggie Leo is turning out to be a global blockbuster at the box office. The mega-budget action-thriller has crossed the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide and is soon expected to enter the Rs 500 crore club. While the film is setting new benchmarks across the country, it has surpassed the business of Kamal Haasan-Fahadh Faasil-Vijay Sethupathi's Vikram (Rs 39 crore) at the Kerala box office as it currently stands with grand total of Rs 40 crore. It is now the second-highest Tamil grosser in the state of Kerala after Rajinikanth's Jailer (Rs 57.75 crore). The film has been doing great business in all the dubbed versions including Hindi despite not getting released in national chains. Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand, the music of Leo is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.Talking about the reviews, Firstpost gave the film 2.5 and wrote, “This is an action film first and foremost, so how were the action sequences? They were definitely not seamless. Take the shot where Leo fights off a large group of people inside the factory. The idea is to give a hawk eye’s view of the entire thing. So the camera is in flight and the scenes are supposed to flow one after another. However, it comes off as fractured, with no point to focus at. The CGI in the film is not up to the mark. Even if we were to give the hyena scene a benefit of the doubt, I cannot forget how thrown off I was at the horse riding scene. The first few shots here just did not work.”
