As Cocktail 2 is all set to hit the screens this Friday, actress Kriti Sanon has penned a note describing her character Ally and what it represents in terms of both style and soul.
The actress wrote- "Ally is probably the most liberated, free spirited, no judgement kinda character I’ve played.. She is unhinged and beautifully chaotic, and that fully reflects in her fashion as well!"
She added, "That’s the beauty of Anaita- her styling is more of a character’s personality extension than just fashionable looks put together! Thank you for building the essence of Ally along with me & for giving the audiences a never-seen-before version of me."
Sanon also said, "When you’ve done so many films, characters and looks together, it can get hard to reinvent and do something different.. but Ally’s beachy hair have their own fandom now and the bronzed sunkissed look is everything sexy!"
The A certificate
Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Kriti Sanon are coming together for Cocktail 2 that releases in cinemas this Friday. The advance bookings have opened in limited screens and it has now come into people’s notice that the CBFC has granted this romantic comedy an A cetrtificate.
With this, Sanon gears up for her first adult film. Starring Kriti Sanon in a never-seen-before avatar alongside the ensemble cast of Cocktail 2, the track has instantly become a talking point. As audiences caught the song on the big screen, reactions poured in, with fans left stunned by Kriti’s striking transformation from her intense role in Tere Ishk Mein to this bold, boho-glam look.
Cocktail back in 2012 was a menage-a-trois about Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. It marked Padukone’s 2.0 as an actor who could power even middling scripts. The narrative of the rom-com turned too screechy and melodramatic post interval but producer Dinesh Vijan revealed at the trailer launch of the sequel this one is a breeze.
