Thalapathy Vijay is the new Tamil Nadu Chief Minister but before taking the plunge in politics, he was a superstar of Indian cinema. And now, many of his past assignments are going viral on social media. One of them is a Coke commercial with Bollywood star Katrina Kaif.

In an interview, Katrina said she liked the way Vijay danced. And Priyanka Chopra also has to say something about the superstar turned CM.

“It was a movie called Thamizhan in the Tamil language in India. I learned phonetically because it was impossible to learn a new language. But I memorized my lines. My first exposure to fame came from my first co-actor. His name is Vijay, who’s extremely popular.”

The actress added, “There used to be hundreds and hundreds of people standing there to watch him while he was dancing or doing his thing. It was my first movie, and I had no idea what happens behind the scenes—we just saw what we saw in movie theaters. I remember thinking it must feel like being a demi-god.”

Katrina Kaif has completed two decades in the industry and is one of the most successful names in the country. Born in Hong Kong and brought up in London, she didn’t have it easy while growing up. In an interview with Barkha Dutt back in 2009, spoke about her growing-up years and how she felt a sense of belongingness to India when she came to the country.

First talking about how she was a dark child out of the eight children, she revealed, “Probably it may sound very stupid. You know you must have seen enough and your friends, how you have a dark children who grew up to be fair. I was a very dark child so there was no way that you would look at me and say this is a Caucasian child. I was always viewed upon as oh how exotic or how ethnic."
