Kalakalappu 2: Jai, Jiiva, Nikki Galrani roped in as leads in Sundar C's next

Aranmanai director Sundar C is all set to start working on the sequel to his 2012 super-hit Tamil film Kalakalappu. Image courtesy: Facebook[/caption]According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Sundar C has roped in actors Jai, Jiiva as lead actors in the upcoming film. Actress Nikki Galrani confirmed to Deccan Chronicle that she has been roped in as one of the female leads of the film as well."I’ve signed Kalakalappu 2 and we’re starting the shoot on 4 October. I will also be joining the team from the very first schedule. It is going to be a laughter-riot with Jiiva and Jai. I’m really looking forward to having a great time at the shooting spot," says the 1983 actress.Deccan Chronicle also reports that Oviya was approached for this film as well, but she declined the offer. She has reportedly been declining all the films that have come her way in the recent past. It is also speculated that Catherine Tresa has been approached for this sequel as well.The Times of India suggests that Kalakalappu 2 will also feature Shiva but only in the latter half. The film will reportedly be a laugh riot, just like its predecessor. It will be shot in Kasi, Pune, Hyderabad and Karaikudi. The music of the film will be composed by Hiphop Tamizha, adds the Times of India report.
