Fukrey 3 box office: Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma & Pankaj Tripathi starrer set to beat Bholaa & Zara Hatke Zara Bachke

Despite the release of two prominent films last Friday, Akshay Kumar's Mission Raniganj & Bhumi Pednekar-Shehnaaz Gill's Thank You For Coming, Fukrey 3 remained rock-steady in its second week at the box office.The comic caper currently stands with a grand total of Rs 81.29 crore and is set to surpass the lifetime business of Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa (Rs 82.04 crore) and Vicky Kaushal-Sara Ali Khan's Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (Rs 88 crore).The film will enjoy the benefit of National Cinema Day followed by the weekend. However, the film will be affected by the India Vs Pakistan CWC match. While it has emerged as highest highest-grosser in the franchise, it will be interesting to see whether it enters the Rs 100 crore club or not.Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha in prominent roles, the film is produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment.In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Richa spoke about her character and said, “Bholi Punjaban of course, went from being a small-time thief, to a big-time thief. Now she’s a goon. So, she wants full control, and she wants total monopoly, and she as you know, whatever ministry she’s fighting for, she’ll try and totally control it and deprive everyone else of that resource. So, there’s that evil streak in her for sure. But I think Fukrey toh wo bhi hai, she keeps listening to you guys and coming back and believing your weird dreams and believing your weird gifts from God. So, I guess the evolution is just in that she’s gotten greedier!”Talking about the review, Firstpost gave the film 4 stars and wrote, “Fukrey 3 largely belongs to Varun Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi, who carry the film on their shoulders and take us on a laugh riot with their superb comic timing. Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh reprise their characters and manage to impress us with their apt portrayals. Richa as Bholi oozes swag with a dose desi rawness and a firey attitude. On the whole, Fukrey 3 is one of the best entertainers of 2023 with ample laughters, hilarious punches and an important social message.”
