Disha Patani is officially stepping into Hollywood with The Portal of Force, and the trailer of the supernatural action film has now been unveiled. The upcoming fantasy thriller also stars Kevin Spacey and marks the beginning of a new cinematic universe titled the Statiguards vs Holiguards Saga, created by Lado Okhotnikov.

Disha plays Jessica in supernatural war drama

The trailer introduces Disha as Jessica, a central figure caught between two ancient factions, the Statiguards and the Holiguards.

According to the film’s premise, the Statiguards represent order and structure, while the Holiguards follow an entirely different philosophy. Jessica is revealed to be the daughter of rival leaders from both sides, positioning her as “the Chosen One” in a battle that could decide humanity’s future.

Packed with large-scale action sequences, supernatural elements and fantasy world-building, the trailer hints at an ambitious franchise setup.

Disha Patani opens up about Hollywood debut

Speaking about her first international project in a press note, Disha said the experience pushed her creatively.

“I've waited with bated breath for the trailer of this very special project. Stepping into my first international outing was both thrilling and terrifying, but the scope to explore the craft was massive,” she shared.

The actor also reflected on working with an international cast and crew.

“Working with an experienced, diverse cast was an education in itself. You realise that storytelling transcends language and geography, honesty on screen is universal,” she said.

Disha further added that bringing her action experience from Indian cinema onto a global platform felt “incredibly empowering”.

Disha’s busy slate continues

Apart from The Portal of Force, Disha will also be seen in Awarapan 2 in the coming months. The actor has increasingly leaned into action-oriented roles in recent years, and her Hollywood debut appears to continue that trajectory on a much larger international scale.
