Did Parineeti Chopra-Raghav Chadha copy Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor's wedding attire?

Actress Parineeti Chopra tied the knot to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha on 24 September. The grand affair took place at The Leela Palace in Udaipur. Ever since the dreamy pictures gained traction online, a lot of comparisons have been drawn. In the latest, the RagNeeti event is being compared to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding in Mumbai.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, who recently exchanged vows in Udaipur, kept their wedding theme ‘white’ just like Alia and Ranbir's. From the colour of bride's clothes to the garland, everything reflected Brahmastra stars' wedding.

Comparisons with Alia Bhatt

Talking about the bridal outfit, Alia donned a white saree at her wedding which was beautifully embroidered with golden threads. On the other hand, Parineeti Chopra also wore an exquisite ivory lehenga with sequin work. The outfits were designed by designer Manish Malhotra.

Comparison with Ranbir Kapoor

Not only the brides, internet users also compared Raghav Chadha’s sherwani to Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding outfit. Many people were of the view that Raghav and Ranbir looked alike.

The politician chose a sherwani featuring clean gold tone detailing, which perfectly matched Parineeti's look. A closer look revealed his choice of multi-layered pearl strings paired with the look along with an intricately embroidered stole. His turban bore an uncut diamond. His look was complemented by watch and tan-coloured shoes.

Ranbir, on the other hand, wore a pristine ivory sherwani designed by Sabyasachi. The Animal actor wore a silk sherwani with intricate embroidery. He paired it with a churidar, a silk safa and a matching embroidered shawl. Ranbir nailed the regal look with a brilliant multi-strand pearl necklace.

Guests at Parineeti-Raghav's wedding

The guests at the wedding included Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, cricketer-politician Harbhajan Singh and Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray, who graced the occasion from the groom’s side. On the other hand, fashion designer Manish Malhotra and tennis star Sania Mirza attended the event from Parineeti’s side.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s pre-wedding celebrations started in Delhi with an Ardaas ceremony, followed by a Sufi night later that evening. The couple then arrived in Udaipur, and Parineeti’s choora and mehndi ceremonies were held on 23 September. A Sangeet event was also held on the same day followed by the wedding on 24 September.

As per News 18, receptions in Delhi and Chandigarh have been called off now. The couple, however, is in the process of planning their Mumbai celebration and a grand bash will be thrown on 4 October.
