Ratna Pathak Shah shares her experience of riding a bike at the age of 65 in 'Dhak Dhak'

Talking about her prep for the role, Shah said, "I had a lot of help. There were a lot of people who trained me. When I was driving in Mumbai, it was beautiful."

Ratna Pathak Shah is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Dhak Dhak, a journey of four women who travel to the mountains and undertake a bike trip, a form of self-discovery and independence. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, opening up about her experience of riding a bike at the age of 65.

She revealed, "I have driven bikes in my dreams many times. I used to look at bike riders and think that someday I will too ride a bike but I didn't know that at the age of 65, I will have to ride a bike."

The actress added, "I had a lot of help. There were a lot of people who trained me. When I was driving in Mumbai, it was beautiful. It was fine till Delhi also but when I was driving at high-altitude while reaching Khardung La, it does something to you. I got a little scared. Then I became very nervous. I still can't say that I really know how to ride a bike because I won't be able to drive in traffic for sure."

Ratna Pathak Shah on the age gap in Bollywood

Shah said, "When they don't feel ashamed, then what should I say? They are not ashamed to romance actresses who are younger than their daughters, so there is nothing for me to say. I mean it's an embarrassment."

Ratna Pathak Shah further criticised the hypocrisy revealing that while the viewers do not mind seeing an older actor romancing a younger actress, they have an issue if an older actress is paired with a younger actor.
