Black comedy at its best: TVF's 'Censor Qtiyapa' has Bollywood directors baring their funny bone

There's a long list of films and an even longer list of scenes from movies that haven't ever made it to Indian screens thanks to India's censor board. So what if filmmakers came up with a pre-censorship board to screen movies before they landed before the censors?The Viral Fever's latest video Censor Qtiyapa is a dark comedy about a newbie filmmaker trying to get his film through the Director's Cut Association of India before it even lands before the censors so that it makes it through to theatres.[caption id="attachment_2486424" align="alignleft" width="380"] A screengrab from the video. Youtube image[/caption]It's a clever push for director Kanu Behl's latest film Titli and in case you don't know anything else about the movie the video makes it clear that there will be plenty of violence, sex and a lot of things that make for very adult viewing.So you've got actor-writer Vasan Bala, directors Hansal Mehta, Mahesh Bhatt, Sudhir Mishra, Dibakar Banerjee, Ajay Bahl, Kamal Swaroop and producer Guneet Monga pretending to be part of a pre-screening board that pretty much wants anything vaguely objectionable knocked out of Titli. Behl plays the hapless director pretty well, despite confessing at the end that his film didn't exactly face much heat from the censor board.It's not exactly laugh out loud, but it's the stuff good dark comedies are made of.Check out the video:
