Sangeetha Sornalingam got married to actor and politician Thalapathy Vijay on August 25, 1999. But a news broke on February 27 that shocked the internet and especially his fans. Sornalingam filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage with infidelity as the ground for the same. Both the husband and wife are yet to react on the matter.

It has been reported that the actress was in a relationship with Rana Daggubati and Prabhas. The former was quoted saying on Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan, "She (Trisha Krishnan) has been my friend for a decade. We have been friends for a long time and even dated. But, I guess, things didn't work out."
