British actress Amy Jackson, who is known for Bollywood films Ekk Deewana Tha and Singh Is Bliing, recently took a swipe at trolls mocking her transformation. In a conversation with The Times of India, the 31-year-old slammed commenters for calling her new look 'ugly'. The actress, who worked alongside Rajinikanth in 2.0, told the news portal that her recent makeover came as part of filming for her latest project in the United Kingdom.As Amy Jackson's pictures of her transformation gained traction on social media, she was targeted for plastic surgery or gender affirmation. On the other hand, some even described her new appearance as 'ugly' and memes on her resemblance to Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy also went viral.On being part of insensitive and hurtful commentsCalling herself an actor first, Amy Jackson emphasised that she takes her job very seriously. As part of the job, she added that for the last month, she has been filming a new project in the UK. In order to fit into the character that she's playing, she had to slim down and fully commit herself to the role.She further continued that the responses from the male-dominated Indian demographic are quite sad. Talking about her male co-stars, the 2.0 star added when they drastically change their look for a film, they are highly praised for it.
