After claims of being a vegetarian, Malaika Arora criticised over having non-veg food; Know what happened

The fitness regimes and dieting tricks of B-Town celebrities have often been a subject of interest among enthusiasts and fans, as many try to adopt the same in their own lifestyles. While some swear by intermittent fasting, there are also a couple of celebrities who have completely gone vegan, quitting any sort of non-vegetarian food. One celebrity is Malaika Arora, who announced that she had turned vegan, further mentioning that her food options have been limited to a very few specific things.

However, Malaika's diet habits recently came under fan scrutiny after a video shared by filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan went viral. In the video, Malaika was seen relishing a non-veg dish brought in by Farah on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

On 14 February, Farah Khan, one of the judges on the dance reality shows, shared a video and spoke about the Yakhni Pulao and Chicken Roast that she brought for lunch. Shot inside the vanity van, Farah says, "Aaj mere ghar se mera world famous Yakhni Pulao, Malaika Madam ka favourite." On the other, Rithvik Dhanjani and Malaika Arora can be getting eager to taste the dish.

Fans question Malaika's 'I am vegetarian' claim

However, as soon as the video came out, many fans to the comment section and raised questions about Malaika's claim of being a vegan. "And here I thought Malaika was a vegetarian from one of her villa interviews," a user wrote, while another one commented, "They are cancelling out the efforts done by all vegans with their reels."

Popular Instagram page Bollywood Garima Kumar also shared a video, scrutinizing Malaika's decision to turn back to eating non-veg while cleaning to be a vegetarian. Mentioning that the actress has been the face of PETA and endorsed several vegan brands, the video digs into the past when the actress was seen claiming that she has taken a vegan diet very seriously.

In reaction to the video, many others also shared their views.

Notably, this is not the first time that Malaika has shared a video showing her fondness for non-veg dishes. Earlier in another video from the sets of the dance reality show, the actress was seen bringing a fish curry dish, especially prepared by her mother.
