A sessions court here has granted Bollywood playback singer Ankit Tiwari bail in a case in which he is accused of allegedly raping his former girlfriend, said his lawyer.
Mumbai: A sessions court here has granted Bollywood playback singer Ankit Tiwari bail in a case in which he is accused of allegedly raping his former girlfriend, said his lawyer.Lawyer Neeraj Gupta told IANS Friday: "Yesterday afternoon (on Thursday), a sessions court granted him bail. We have deposited Rs 15,000 which is the bail bond amount and he will be released by today evening."[caption id="attachment_1539613" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Later, Ankit was remanded to judicial custody till 26 May.The Tiwari brothers have alleged a conspiracy by their professional rivals after Ankit achieved nationwide fame with his popular numbers like Sun Raha Hai Tu in the recent blockbuster, Aashiqui 2 and other songs.IANS
