Carter was released on bail Sunday, 16 July.[/caption]Carter has been accused of drunken driving and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Parker was arrested for obstruction, possession of less than 1 ounce of pot and paraphernalia.In a statement tweeted Sunday, Carter says was arrested inside an auto supply store "by several police officers with aggression." He adds that he was not in a moving vehicle and has a license to use medical marijuana for "long standing anxiety."
Carter also took a shot at his older brother, Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, who had tweeted support after the arrest. Aaron Carter says Nick should have called him instead. "If my own blood (Nick) truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum?" the 29-year-old performer stated. "That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down."Carter was scheduled to perform in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday night, 15 July. A tweet from his account hours before the show said he wouldn't make it because of "transportation issues."(with inputs from agencies)
