Ektaa R Kapoor has all the reasons to be on cloud nine as she has won at the International Emmy Award 2023. Congratulations have been pouring in and music maestro A.R. Rahman also shared a note for the filmmaker. He tweeted- "Congratulations @EktaaRKapoor What a graceful and eloquent speech !'She said, “I’d like to thank the men in my life. My father and my brother, who are currently babysitting my son. You make my home wholesome if not conventional. I’d like to thank our two boys, my son and my nephew – Laksshya and Ravi, our surrogate babies who taught me the toughest paths can sometimes lead you to magic. I’m a single mother.’ She added, “The irony is the world’s population is solely produced by women.”She also shared a video of the trophy on her official Instagram handle and wrote, “India I’m bringing home YOUR Emmy @iemmys”Before Ektaa was invited on stage, an AV was played which narrated her inspirational journey. In the clip, PM Narendra Modi also revealed that Ektaa‘s show was not only popular in India but across the globe.With this, Ektaa Kapoor became the First Indian Woman Filmmaker to receive the International Emmy Directorate Award, underlining the uniqueness and impact of her contributions to the industry. One of the most accomplished Producers, ruling the industry for decades now, Ektaa’s win is not merely a personal triumph but a recognition of her unconventional and ground-breaking work, consistently delivering content that resonates with a diverse and extensive audience.
