Yamaha Japan recalls approximately 1500 units of YZF-R3

Yamaha Japan has recalled approximately 1500 units of its R3 sportsbike over oil pump and transmission issues. According to Yamaha, the oil pump is said to have a design flaw which may restrict it from functioning properly. Secondly, the transmission problem resides with the clutch plate bearings. As reports suggests, the bearings don’t possess sufficient strength and the continuous use of the clutch plate may damage the bearings, leaving the R3 non-operational.
