Audi SQ8 recently launched the all new Audi SQ8 in India. Since it’s the sportier S tier model of the Q8 lineup, it promises exhilarating performance and everyday practicality in a highly versatile package. Drive and Performance

Imagine the wrath of 700 Nm of torque under your right foot, unmatched performance courtesy of a 4.0 litre TFSI V8 engine that generates close to 500 horsepower. These aren’t just specs; these are performance figures that can take you from 0 to 100 within 4.1 seconds. Beyond performance, the SQ8 holds true to the off-roading capabilities the Q8 lineup is known for, adaptive air suspension and quattro permanent all-wheel drive with self-locking centre differential ensures that the new Audi is ready for all kinds of adventure, whether on tarmac or the wilderness. For the enthusiasts, Audi also offers the optional extra of an advanced suspension package with active roll stabilization and quattro sports differential.

Interior amenities unique to the SQ8

With the SQ8, users get new sport seats, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, and MMI Navigation Plus with MMI touch response. For your ultimate entertainment along the way, the car is equipped with Bang & Olufsen 3D premium surround sound system, with 17 speakers and 730 watt output and a new 16 channel amplifier.

Why Audi S models are special

S models have always been high performance version of existing car models in the lienup. The production of these specialized S models started with the 1990 S2 coupe, and an even sportier RS version was launched later with the Audi RS2 Avant. These models are generally based on the A, E, or Q models, their genesis started when the sportier version of the Audi 80 that was launched in 1990 as the S2, which was followed by the Audi RS2 Avant based on the Audi 80 model that was a product of joint engineering between Audi and Porsche. Since 1994, the Audi S and RS sports series was started directly from the quattro moniker.

The specialized S models have always competed with the likes of BMW M models and Mercedes AMG models. These models should not be confused with A or Q lineup models with A line package, as these are generally offered with higher performance engines.
