Swedish car maker Volvo officially inaugurated its first dealership in Jaipur on Wednesday, 1 February. The company will emphasise on network strategy, brand vision and to create an unrivalled luxury destination for its privileged customers.The new dealership in Jaipur is located at Sitabari, Tonk Road which was inaugurated by Tom von Bonsdorff, managing director, Volvo Auto India where he said, “Opening a new dealership in Jaipur is a natural progression towards further strengthening our position in India. The city is one of the major business centers in Rajasthan and our partnership with Morani Volvo will target luxury car buyers and create more value for our increasing customer base in the city and connecting markets. Royalty and luxury go hand in hand.”Volvo will be offering its entire luxury portfolio in India including the recently launched S90 and the XC90 Excellence which will be India’s first plug-in hybrid SUV.The company had a good 2016 with four launches during the period. The company reported a third consecutive year of record sales in 2016, increasing 6.2 percent compared to 2015 to 534,332 cars.
