TVS Akula 310 production model spy images leaked

TVS is expected to launch its new 300cc motorcycle soon as it showcased a concept version of the Akula 310 at the 2016 Auto Expo. Today we have alleged spy images of the final production version of the bike.Comparing the leaked images with the concept, you can see that the final version will retain most of the design. The bike gets twin projector lights with LED DRLs and an air scoop under the headlights. There is also a large windscreen while the clip-on handlebars seems to be set at a good height.[caption id="attachment_374092" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image credits: xBHP[/caption]Since TVS has partnered with BMW, the upside down front forks look similar to the BMW G310R. Even the 17-inch wheels seem to be carried over from the G310R with 110/70 section front and 150/60 rear tyres. It is also expected to feature ABS as standard. Even the exhaust unit seems to be inspired from the G310R.[caption id="attachment_374090" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image credits: xBHP[/caption]The engine is expected to be based on the 313cc motor of the G310R roadster. This could translate to 34 PS at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. While BMW claims that the G310R can hit speeds of up to 145 kmph, we doubt that TVS will offers the same.
