Tata Motors Ltd according the Economic Times is looking to partner with the Volkswagen Group. While the details on the partnership are sparse at best, the publications claims that the same is likely to be announced at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show in March.The Economic Times in an article says that partnership talks are at an advanced stage and that the deal may have a huge impact on India. For now, the details of this partnership are not too clear, but the report hints that it could either be a joint venture or a technology tie-up.Tata Motors that recently announced its TAMO brand may be looking to share vehicle architecture and technology between Volkswagen. Other details hint at the sharing of a modular platform for India and other emerging markets.According to the unnamed source, the partnership is meant to bring out quicker returns on investment through economies of scale.Livemint contacted Tata Motors for comment got a reply stating that the company keeps discussing various possibilities and that there was nothing more to share at the moment.
