Porsche has just announced a souped up version of the mid-sized SUV called the Macan Turbo with a Performance Package. The Macan which already makes plenty of power, now gets an additional performance boost with the new package.This top-of-the-line Macan is priced at Rs 1.4 crore. Sitting well on the pricier side, the SUV certainly delivers by bringing bits of the Porsche performance DNA.Porsche Macan Turbo with Performance Package back frontSo what do you get for such a high price tag? Well Porsche will bump up the power of the 3.6-litre V6 twin-turbo engine by additional 40PS. Same goes for the torque that gets bumped up by an additional 50Nm. So we now have a Macan that belts our 440PS of power and 600Nm of torque. Thanks to all of the above, you get 0-100km/h times of 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 272km/h.Porsche Macan Turbo with Performance Package sideWith all that power on tap, the brakes need an upgrade as well with grooved front branks that measure 390mm in diameter and six-piston calipers.Handling also gets an upgrade with a Porsche Active Suspension Management system that will drop the vehicle by 15mm. Add to this air suspension (standard) that by default lowers the vehicle by 10mm.
