The Mahindra Group has today formally announced the launch of its Carworkz platform, a multi-brand car service aggregation platform. The aim of the service is deliver added convenience, choice and to offer better transparency in a space that is largely unorganized, the Indian car servicing market. The service is currently operational only in Mumbai and Mahindra plans to expand it to five cities by the end of the year. Carworkz as a platform will offer car owners information and guidance to choose the right servicing option for their car at the best price. Customers can also benefit from the ratings and reviews by fellow car owners, to make well-informed car servicing decisions. So far, Carworkz has managed to haul in over 1,000 car service workshops and about 5,000 registered users in its beta testing phase. The goal is to have a base of 1 lakh car owners with support for 4,500 workshops.Speaking about the platform, Tarun Gupta, CEO, Carworkz, said, “An intelligent platform, Carworkz is designed to offer complete peace of mind to a car owner looking for a reliable servicing option. The app aggregates information on all kinds of workshops, from Authorized Service Centres (ASC), Multi-Brand Chains (MBC) and Independent Garages (IG). What sets Carworkz apart is that the workshops that feature on the platform are listed after a profiling exercise to authenticate their services and existence. The Ratings and Review feature also provides users the benefit of learning from the experiences of other car owners like themselves. We are also working towards a unique Carworkz Assurance program to ensure quality standards for services booked through the platform. Additionally, in our bid to work at both ends of the spectrum, we will also provide listed workshops with a digital presence, and support them with their back-end operations.”The Carworkz platform is available both online at www.carworkz.com and via the Android app in the Google Play Store.
