Lamborghini Aventador S launched in India for a whopping Rs 5.01 crores

Lamborghini announced the faster and leaner Aventador S last year in December and it is now here in India. The new speed machine is an update to the Aventador LP700-4 and comes with additional 40bhp, a four-wheel steering system and a new Ego driving mode. The price? Rs 5.01 crores. This makes it the second Lambo to launch in India this year after the Huracan Spyder.The new Aventador S features a 6.5-liter V12 to produce 730bhp and 509 lb-ft of torque. It is claimed to go from 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds with the top speed of 217 mph which is approximately 350kmph. Lamborghini has also adjusted the engine’s variable valve timing and intake system, while raising maximum engine revs from 8350rpm to 8500rpm to achieve those numbers.Since its is facelift version of the Aventador coupe, it gets a new front bumper, rear bumper, diffusers and air intakes, all of which make the car more aerodynamic. The new front splitter and diffuser is said to add 130 percent more down force. On the inside, everything is pretty much the same as the standard Aventador including the jet-fighter inspired cockpit. You will notice the analogue dials in the instrument cluster replaced by an LCD TFT display.The new driving mode which is called 'EGO' lets the driver choose individual settings for the steering, suspension and engine.The new Aventador S competes with rivals such as the Ferrari 812 and the Aston Martin Vanquish in the international market.
