The 2026 Kia Seltos earns a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating with strong adult and child protection scores

Apart from an endless list of features, the KIA Seltos now has another add-on in its merits, a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The add-on of a profound safety score, will help the Seltos compete against some of the other well-rounded SUVs in the market. Here is a detailed look at the safety scores of the all-new Seltos.

2026 KIA Seltos: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)

The Seltos passes off with flying colours in these tests, scoring one of the highest Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) scores in Bharat NCAP than any other cars to date. The Seltos has been able to score 31.70 points out of 32 in this test. Reports suggest that the driver dummy was well protected from the impact, apart from compromised safety on the left knee and feet.

Child Occupant Protection

The Seltos was able to pull up a robust performance in these tests as well, with a near-perfect score of 45 out of 49. The perfect score is a result of a full 24 out of 24 points the Seltos earned in the dynamic score category and a full 12 out of 12 in the CRS installation tests as well. In the vehicle assessment category, it scored 9 points out of a maximum of 13.

Kia Seltos Safety Features

A long list of safety features help the Seltos achieve such results, including Level 2 ADAS, 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, front, side, and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, all-wheel disc brakes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, along with a hill hold assist system.

Priced between Rs 10.99 lakhs to Rs 19.99 lakh, the car competes with direct rivals such as Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Victoria, and Honda Elevate.
