Jeep Compass brochure leaked ahead of launch; will be offered in 5 variants

The Jeep Compass SUV will reportedly be offered in a total of five variants: Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), Limited and Limited (O).

We have seen the Jeep Compass in rumours and leaked images, and it was finally spotted testing in India. Recently, FCA too announced that the first Jeep Compass SUV had rolled out of its manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon. While the expected launch of this much-awaited SUV in India is expected to take place in August 2017, photographs of its brochure have leaked out revealing its variants and other additional options.The brochure as reported by TeamBHP, reveals the variant-wise feature distribution among other details.The Compass SUV will reportedly be offered in a total of five variants: Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), Limited and Limited (O).2017 Jeep Compass (5)According to TeamBHP, the Longitude and Longitude (O) will arrive with diesel engines with other three offered in petrol and diesel engine options.The documents also reveal that the Jeep Compass SUV will be available in 5 colour options: Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue and Exotica Red.[caption id="attachment_383052" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Image: TeamBHP Image: TeamBHP[/caption]Dissecting each variant page by page reveals that the Sport variant will be the entry-level one. It features some of the creature comforts like and basic accessories like the 16-inch steel wheels, halogen headlamps, 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and electrically adjustable OVRMs. Also included with the Sport option are safety features like front airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD and an electric parking brake.2017 Jeep Compass (4)Coming to the Longitude trim, it will add 17-inch 5 -spoke alloy wheels, front and rear fog headlamps, push button start, parking sensors, and dual tone interiors to name a few. The Limited trim will get you LED taillamps, a rear camera, leather seats and steering wheel, scuff plates and more importantly, an AWD transmission with the Selec Terrain system.The Limited (O) adds HID headlamps and dual-tone paint schemes with a gloss black roof.From what has already leaked out in the past, the SUV will feature a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine that delivers about 160 PS and 250 Nm. The diesel option delivers 170 PS and 350 Nm. Both engines are literally futureproof when it comes to compliance. Both are BS-IV compliant and can be scaled up to meet BS-VI as well and are mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic for the petrol models.Last we heard, the price tags as revealed by Overdrive were expected to start from Rs 16 lakh, which would be the initial introductory price.
