Jaguar F-Pace SUV officially launched in India starting at Rs 68.40 lakhs

Jaguar had announced its new F-Pace SUV for the Indian market and the launch is now official. At a special event in Mumbai, the British car maker announced the new F-Pace SUV, which starts at Rs 68.40 lakhs.Jaguar is offering two diesel engine options including a 2-litre Ingenium engine, which can churn out 180bhp and 430Nm of torque. It is said to achieve 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and a top speed of over 200 km/h which is quite something for an SUV. The second option is a 3.0-litre V6 engine that can churn out 300bhp and 700Nm of torque. This one can go 0-100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds with a top speed of 241 km/h. Both models will come with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and AWD as well. A 2-litre petrol model is also expected to arrive next year in February that will produce 240bhp.The new F-Pace globally competes against the Mercedes-Benz GLC and the BMW X3, however, in India it is priced Rs 18 lakh more than the GLC and about Rs 20 lakh more than the X3. Other features include configurable interior mood lighting with a choice of ten different colours, high-centre console, Sports Command Driving Position for the driver, slender roof pillars and a large windscreen.
