Hyundai announces new Elite i20 facelift with dual-tone paint job and updated interiors

Korean car maker Hyundai has announced an upgrade for the its popular premium hatchback, i20. More than an update, it is a feacelift which means there are only cosmetic changes while the engine configuration remains the same.The new i20 comes with a dual-tone paint option including white or red with a black roof. The dual paint scheme was made popular by the Maruti Vitara Brezza and now is also offered on the Ignis.The interior also gets some updates including orange accents similar to the one on the i20 Active. The i20 has been known to be loaded with features and the new version not only comes with an updated touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, it also offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a Mirror link feature.Features including the 16-inch alloy wheels, daytime running LED lights, keyless entry, start-stop button are still available. As for the engine you get the same 1.2 litre petrol engine with 82 bhp, 115 Nm of torque and a 5-speed manual gearbox. The automatic 1.4 litre petrol engine with 99 bhp and 132 Nm of torque paired to a traditional torque convertor 4-speed gearbox. As for the diesel variant, the 1.4 litre CRDi turbo diesel engine also stays the same which produces 89 bhp and 220 Nm of torque. This one comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.Hyundai's official website shows the Asta variant with the 1.2 petrol manual engine along with the new dual tone paint job at Rs 7,25,624 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Asta diesel 1.4 variant with dual tone is priced at Rs 8,51,465 (ex-showroom Delhi).
