Bajaj's 400cc motorcycle is called the Dominar; will be launched in India on 15 Dec

Bajaj Auto has finally revealed the name of its upcoming 400cc motorcycle and it is called the Dominar 400. The motorcycle will be arriving in showrooms starting December 15 2016 and it will be Bajaj Auto's most powerful motorcycle offering ever.The name Dominar is of Spanish origin and it has a clear and simple meaning, "to dominate". Now that we have cleared what Bajaj Auto's intent with this offering is, let's head on to the design and the specifications.The design, while looking completely new, does borrow a few bits from the old Pulsar which is also a sub-brand of Bajaj Auto. It also looks oddly similar to the Ducati Diavel (just a bit taller). As per Overdrive, the Dominar is supposed to be a power cruiser which means that the rider gets plenty of power but also gets a relaxed riding position for longer rides.Talking about power, KTM fans will be surprised to see the same 373cc engine mounted onto the Dominar. The engine is single cylinder unit that is oil-cooled and is expected to develop around 41PS of power and will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.You get ABS as a standard feature and an all-digital instrument cluster.Coming to the price, there is no confirmed news, but expect it to be priced in the range of KTM's 390 Duke.
