A number of Volvo XC90 R7 SUVs have been imported into India, could launch soon

Volvo has begun importing the R7 variant of its SUV,  XC90 in India according to source reported by team-bhp. The Volvo XC90 R7 variant will pack in a few extras that will give it the R-Design branding with an aggressive look and an expected higher price tag as well.[caption id="attachment_331553" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: Volvo Global[/caption]The leak comes from an import listing which shows that the company has imported multiple units of the R7 variant of the SUV into India. Volvo's current lineup in India includes the standard XC90 and the XC90 Excellence and the R7 will simply add to the variety.[caption id="attachment_331558" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: team-bhp[/caption]Indeed, these have been imported not for sale, but for homologation purposes which hints at the possibility that these will hit showrooms soon.[caption id="attachment_331552" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: Volvo Global[/caption]As for what you get with the R badge, it would include a number of cosmetic changes to both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. On the outside you get a gloss black finish on the front grille, matte silver ORVMS and redesigned front bumper. This in turn helps the engine develop 225Bhp.
