2018 Jeep Compass leaked: Could be the C segment SUV headed to India

At the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler SUV launch in India, news about two upcoming locally made SUVs was leaked. While it was not confirmed which Jeep models Jeep India plans to assemble in the country, we do know that these would be B segment and C segment SUVs that would be priced low to compete with local offerings. A quick look up at the Jeep USA website revealed that best two candidates would be Jeep's Renegade SUV and the Compass. The 2014 Compass is a pretty old model and it was indeed the time for a revamp, and as the internet would have it, Jeep has readied a refreshed Compass that could be heading our way soon.[caption id="attachment_336001" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Image: Autoo[/caption]Images of what is said to be the 2018 Jeep Compass have leaked out online thanks to Autoo. As per the website, Jeep was shooting a commercial using the new Compass SUV at a location in Sau Paulo, Brazil. And going purely by the looks, it does look like a refresh.From the leaked images, one can see the new font face treatment with sharper looks and wrap-around head lamps that give the Compass a contemporary look. It gets some new wheels as well in a shiny chrome finish. Also noticeable from the leaked images is the new floating roof.MotorAuthority says that since Jeep has already decided on the Compass model for the 2017 model year, we could expect to see it arrive next year as the 2018 Compass.
