2016 Auto Expo: Mercedes-Benz showcase the G 500 4-4²

Sadly, this very capable SUV is only on display at Auto Expo 2016 and there are no plans to launch it in India

Mercedes-Benz has showcased the G 500 4-4² at the 2016 Auto Expo. The gargantuan SUV is a mix-match of the G-Class and the G63 AMG 6x6. What the company has done, essentially, is used the all-wheel drive powertrain and the portal axles from the G63 AMG and used that to develop a new chassis upon which is the G-Class body. It stands 2.25 metres above the ground.The Mercedes-Benz G 500 4-4² is powered by a 4-litre, V8 biturbo that produces 416PS and 610Nm. It features dampers that that have been derived from rally racing cars and feature adjustable damping.
