Unable to upload videos on YouTube? You are not alone. Several YouTube users are facing issues on the video-streaming platform. According to the Downdectector website, there is a sharp spike reported after 3PM.

For most of the day, outage reports remained relatively low and stable, hovering close to normal levels. The reports surged dramatically mid-day, climbing past 100 complaints within a short period, suggesting a sudden disruption affecting a large number of users.

For the affected users, YouTube was flashing the message, "Oops, something went wrong," across the world.

The graph also shows a slight dip after the sharp spike in reports, suggesting that YouTube may already be working to fix the issue and gradually restore normal operations.

That said, if you were just watching YouTube series, you were unaffected. At the time of writing this story, the video streaming and loading was working fine for most of us. However, the website reported that around 38 per cent users have issues with video streaming, 25 per cent flagged app glitch and 19 per cent server issues.

Apart from our observations, the X timeline is also overflowing with the issues regarding uploading videos.

Here are a few reactions:

This comes just a day after users were reporting issues with Google.

Google also experienced a short-lived outage affecting users globally, including in India, with many unable to properly access Search and related services. The disruption quickly sparked reactions online as users reported blank pages, failed searches and slow loading times across social media platforms.

According to Downdetector, outage reports surged sharply, crossing 3,300 complaints at their peak.

While back-to-back outages at Google and YouTube may appear alarming, there is currently no clear sign of a larger crisis inside Alphabet. Since both platforms share infrastructure, temporary technical issues can occasionally affect multiple services together. For now, the disruptions seem more like isolated glitches than evidence of a deeper company-wide problem.
