Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is all set to introduce its latest flagship devices — the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300 FE — in India today, May 6, at 2 PM IST.

The launch event will be streamed live for viewers via Vivo’s official YouTube channel, while real-time updates will also be shared across its social media platforms. For those planning to buy, both smartphones are expected to be listed on Flipkart soon after the announcement.

Vivo is likely to position the X300 series as a camera-first lineup, while also focusing on performance upgrades and a refined premium design. The devices are expected to go on sale shortly after the unveiling.

As per leaks and early reports, the Vivo X300 Ultra could be priced between Rs 1,50,999 and Rs 1,59,999 in India. This would place it in direct competition with top-tier flagships such as the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The Vivo X300 FE is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 79,999. According to a tipster, Abhishek Yadav, posted on X that the FE variant's starting price will stand at Rs 79,999 and the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will be at Rs 89,999.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is tipped to feature a large 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, enabling smoother visuals while optimising battery usage depending on on-screen activity. It is expected to run OriginOS 6 out of the box and may receive up to six years of software updates.

In terms of durability, the device is likely to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong resistance against dust and water exposure.

However, the biggest highlight is expected to be its camera system. The smartphone may come equipped with a powerful 200MP primary sensor, complemented by an advanced telephoto lens. Users can expect around 3.7x optical zoom and up to 105x digital zoom.

Adding to its appeal, Vivo is reportedly working with Zeiss to offer an optional external telephoto lens. This add-on, expected to be available in 200mm and 400mm variants, could significantly enhance zoom capabilities, potentially enabling up to 17.4x optical zoom.

The Vivo X300 FE is expected to strike a balance between performance and affordability, offering near-flagship features at a lower price point.

On the camera front, the device may include a triple rear setup featuring a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, users are likely to get a 50MP front camera with a wide 90-degree field of view.

Performance-wise, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster multitasking and data speeds.

Battery life could also be a strong point, with rumours suggesting a large 6,500mAh battery backed by 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging support.

Overall, the X300 FE appears to be aimed at users who want flagship-like performance and camera capabilities without stretching into ultra-premium pricing territory.
