Sony ColleXion headphones leak reveals launch date, expected Price revealed

Sony’s premium ColleXion headphones are expected to break cover soon. These high-end, ultra-premium wireless headphones will sit at the top of the current headphone lineup. The headphones are expected to be announced on May 19, as revealed by the Sony New Zealand and Sony Australia websites, and hence the launch date may not be far behind.

In the past, Sony has often used the expression “mastering the art of listening” with these headphones. The alt text description of the headphones also confirms that they will be available in white. Beyond that, Sony has also listed the model name, which is WH-1000X “The ColleXion.”

While Sony has not yet revealed the prices, initial leaks suggest that they could be over $630. If these prices are any indication, the ColleXion headsets will be around $200 more expensive than Sony’s other top-end wireless headphones, such as the WH-1000XM6, which generally retail for around $430 at full price. The design is expected to be similar to that of other headphones in the WH-1000X line.

In previous reports, billbil-kun from Dealabs suggested a price tag for the upcoming Sony ColleXion at around €629 in Europe, which comes to about ₹68,033 in India. TechRadar had also noted that the super-premium headphones could be priced at €629 (about $740, £550, AU$1,030), far surpassing the $449 / £399 / AU$699 asking price of the WH-1000XM6.
