Samsung hints at smarter AI-powered health features for its next Galaxy Watches

In the run-up to its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 in London, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and the Galaxy Watch 9 series. A recent teaser video shared by the company showcasing its next generation of smartwatches has further fueled speculation surrounding the upcoming launches.

Samsung has said its next-generation Galaxy Watch lineup will play a crucial role in health monitoring, taking effortless wellness to a new level. According to the company, the smartwatch will work proactively in the background, making healthcare a seamless part of users' daily routines. To support these new capabilities, the upcoming wearables are expected to feature upgraded internal hardware and improved battery life.

Rumours surrounding the new internals

According to recent reports, the upcoming smartwatches could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. The premium processor is expected to deliver enhanced AI capabilities while significantly improving power efficiency, potentially leading to better battery life.

A larger battery is also expected on some models, particularly the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

Samsung is also rumoured to introduce a new Heart Health Score, replacing the existing cardiovascular load metric with a more comprehensive heart health monitoring feature.
