Samsung has expanded its popular A-series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, positioning both devices as feature-rich mid-range options.

Running on the latest One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, the new phones lean heavily into AI-powered tools while also promising longevity with extended software support.

Galaxy A57 5G: Top specs

Design and display: The Galaxy A57 5G sits at the top of this refresh, offering a more premium build and display. It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with Vision Booster to improve visibility outdoors. The phone is notably slim at 6.9mm and weighs 179g, giving it a sleek in-hand feel.

Samsung has equipped the device with IP68 certification, meaning it can handle dust exposure and short periods underwater.

Camera: For photography, the A57 includes a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro shooter. A 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Exclusive features like Best Face and Auto Trim add extra polish to images and videos.

Battery: The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

Processor: Samsung has not officially confirmed the chipsets powering its new A-series smartphones. However, the Galaxy A57 5G is believed to have an Exynos 1680 processor under the hood.

Software and AI: On the software front, it runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and is set to receive up to six years of OS and security updates.

AI features are a major highlight. Display and design: The Galaxy A37 5G offers a similar core experience with a few trade-offs to keep it more accessible. It also features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, though it uses a standard Super AMOLED panel. The device is slightly thicker at 7.4mm.

Like its sibling, the A37 carries an IP68 rating.

Software and AI: It also runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5, along with the same six-year update promise. Many of the AI features are shared, including Circle to Search, AI Select and voice-based tools.

Camera: In terms of cameras, the A37 gets a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro camera. It also includes a 12MP front shooter.

Battery: The battery capacity remains the same at 5,000mAh.

Processor: The Galaxy A37 5G is likely to run on the Exynos 1480 chip.

Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G price and availability

Samsung has positioned the Galaxy A57 at a more premium tier, dropping the 128GB base variant entirely. It starts at 256GB storage, priced at Rs 56,999, with a higher-end 12GB RAM option going up to Rs 62,499.

The Galaxy A37, meanwhile, offers more flexibility for buyers at the entry level. It begins at Rs 41,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, with the 256GB variant priced at Rs 47,499. The top-end version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is listed at Rs 52,999.
