Nothing launches Phone (4b) in India from Rs 34,999: Top specs, bank offers and sale details

Nothing has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of the Phone 4b, introducing the first model in its new "(b)" series. Positioned below the Phone (4a) lineup, the device brings several of Nothing's signature features, including the Glyph Interface, Nothing OS, and a unique design, while also packing the company's largest battery to date.

The Nothing Phone (4b) is situated right under the Phone (4a) price bracket. The phone will come in two configurations:

The Nothing Phone (4b) comes in Black, White and Blue colour variants. Alongside the standard models, Nothing has also introduced a limited Phone (4b) RCB Edition to mark Royal Challengers Bengaluru's second IPL title. The special edition features Red rear panel with custom RCB branding and packaging.

The smartphone will go on sale in India from July 14 through Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales and other retail partners. For RCB fans, the limited-edition Phone (4b) will be sold exclusively through a limited drop at Nothing's flagship store in Bengaluru.

Design and display: While the company says that the Phone (4b) follows the footsteps of the Phone (4a) series, the design speaks a little different. Stepping away from the transparent-style aesthetic, the Phone (4b) features a soft polymer camera module, an eco-polycarbonate body and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Glyph Bar includes 45 individually controlled mini-LEDs with up to 3,500 nits of brightness. It can display notifications, charging progress, recording indicators and custom alerts without requiring users to wake the main display.

On the front, the device sports a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 1,200 nits outdoor brightness and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It also supports a 1,000Hz instant touch sampling rate for quicker response during gaming.

Processor and Nothing OS: Powering the Phone (4b) is Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor. Nothing claims the chipset delivers an AnTuTu score of over one million while also improving efficiency and on-device AI performance over previous-generation 6nm platforms.

The phone runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16 and includes features such as Essential Space, Essential Search, Essential Voice and native ChatGPT integration, alongside Google Gemini and Circle to Search. Nothing has also promised 3 years of Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

Battery: The Phone (4b) packs a 6,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever fitted to a Nothing smartphone. The company claims it can deliver up to 18 hours of mixed usage, including up to 22 hours of YouTube playback and 26 hours of Instagram browsing.

It supports 33W wired fast charging, which is claimed to charge the battery to 50 per cent in under 30 minutes and fully charge it in just over an hour.

Camera: The smartphone features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), paired with a 119-degree ultra-wide camera. The camera system uses Nothing's TrueLens Engine 4 and Ultra XDR imaging, which combines multiple RAW frames to improve dynamic range and colour accuracy.

For video, the Phone (4b) supports 4K recording at 30fps with OIS, EIS and AI-assisted stabilisation. It also introduces dual video capture, allowing users to record simultaneously using the front and rear cameras while moving the selfie preview freely across the screen.
