Nokia 106 feature phone launched in India for Rs 1399

Nokia has launched a new feature phone in India, the Nokia 106 at a price of Rs 1399. The phone is available on the company's online store. The actual price of the phone is Rs 1669 but Nokia is offering a discount on the phone for now.Nokia announced the 106 in August this year. This is a single SIM-device but it has support for a micro-SIM card instead of the regular size SIM.Features for the Nokia 106 include: 1.8-inch QVGA display with 128x160 pixels resolution. It can store up to 500 contacts. It has an 800mAh battery that the company claims gives upto 10 hours of talk time and 840 hours of standby time. The Nokia Asha 502, 503 and 500 were recently launched in India.The Asha 502 is already available in India at a price of Rs 5,969. The Asha 500 is the cheapest of the three new devices at Rs 4,499 and the yet to be released Asha 503 is the most expensive at Rs 6,799. More details about the Asha series here.
