Plants vs Zombies, and another of Popcap’s titles – Chuzzle – will be hitting Android devices by May 30. Unfortunately, it seems they’re exclusive to the Amazon App Store for now, meaning those of us outside the US will have no access to it. There’s no information on whether the games will make it onto the Android Market eventually, a la Angry Birds, but we sure hope they do.

"Our relationship with Amazon is pivotal to PopCap's overall strategy in bringing a growing roster of mobile titles to the ever-widening base of smartphone users," noted Giordano Bruno Contestabile, PopCap's senior director of global product and business strategy for mobile.  "By making these titles available on the Android platform, we'll significantly extend the reach of our top franchises to legions of new mobile customers and gaming fans alike."

Both games will launch for free on their release dates, but will cost $2.99 afterwards.
