Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ launched in India, price starts at Rs 47,999

Motorola has expanded its Edge smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Edge 70 Pro+, a feature-packed device aimed at users seeking flagship-level specifications without crossing the premium smartphone price bracket.

The latest device combines a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a versatile quad-camera system, a large battery and Motorola's clean Android experience. It also arrives with a powerful MediaTek processor and several AI-driven features designed to improve photography, productivity and everyday smartphone use.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has been introduced in a single configuration offering 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone carries a price tag of Rs 47,999.

Buyers can choose from three Pantone-inspired colour options: Chicory Coffee, Zinfandel and Stormy Sea.

Sales of the device will begin on June 11 at 12 pm through Flipkart, Motorola's official website and authorised retail outlets across the country.

As part of the launch offers, Motorola is providing an instant bank cashback of Rs 3,000. Customers can also avail exchange benefits and no-cost EMI options through participating partners.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+: Top specs and features

Display and durability: The Edge 70 Pro+ sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming and animations.

For durability, Motorola has equipped the device with Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The large screen and high refresh rate should make the smartphone particularly appealing for entertainment and gaming enthusiasts.

Processor and software: Powering the smartphone is MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola says the combination is designed to deliver fast app loading times, improved multitasking and strong gaming performance. To help maintain performance during extended usage, the company has included a large 4,600mm² vapour chamber cooling system for heat management.

On the software side, the Edge 70 Pro+ ships with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has committed to providing three major Android OS upgrades along with five years of security updates.

The company continues to offer its near-stock Android interface, complemented by a suite of AI-powered features aimed at both personal and professional use cases.

Camera: Photography is a major focus of the new smartphone. The Edge 70 Pro+ features a quad 50MP camera system comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus capabilities, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus support.

Motorola has also added AI-powered Super Zoom Pro technology, enabling digital zoom up to 50x.

Additional camera features include support for 4K video recording at 60fps across all camera lenses, HDR video capture, Auto Macro Vision and AI-enhanced low-light photography.

Battery: The smartphone packs a sizeable 6,500mAh battery, one of the largest capacities in its segment.

Charging support includes 90W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. While real-world battery performance will become clearer after extended testing, the large battery should comfortably provide all-day usage for most users, with lighter users potentially stretching usage well beyond a single day.
