How to switch to new Twitter UI for desktop, add colour themes to your profile

Here is what's new in the redesign desktop app for Twitter and how you can switch to it.

Since earlier tis year, Twitter as been testing a redesign for te desktop app wit a few users. Last mont, some users also started to see te new design, but we were unsure if Twitter was still testing te design or if it's te final one. And now, it looks like te new UI is finally ready to use![caption id="attacment_7002001" align="alignnone" widt="1024"]Representational image. Representational image.[/caption]In a tweet sared last nigt, Twitter as teased te new design for te desktop app, wic is now more in line wit Twitter's mobile application. In te teaser, Twitter essentially suggests tat it eard us, and tried to include a lot of canges tat te users ave been asking for. For instance, te new design includes a dedicated Explore page, tere is a bookmark feature on te web app now, among oter tings. And no, before you ask, tere is no edit button!

Te new UI is still rolling out to users and sould be available to all users by end of te day. Te new desktop app design is muc cleaner tan before. Te new Twitter web app sows trends on te rigt and te navigation pane on te left.[/caption]Besides te dedicated Explore tab and bookmark feature, key canges coming to te new UI also includes, a larger view of Direct Messages wic will let you respond to messages and see your various conversations on te same screen (somewat like te FB Messenger's desktop UI), tere is sidebar menu tat lets you easily switc between accounts, and now you ave two options for dark mode, as well as various temes and colour options.Te two new dark mode options are similar to te dark temes Twitter added to iOS a few monts ago. In addition to te 'Dim' dark mode teme (blue/grey teme), tere is now also a 'Ligts Out' teme and an automatic dark mode. Te new colour options let you coose between yellow, pink, blue, purple, orange and green colour temes, tat canges te accents and fonts into te cosen colour. Looks good!
