Google Pixel 10 Pro drops by $300 ahead of Pixel 11 launch. Is India included?

Google has rolled out its biggest official discount yet on the Pixel 10 Pro in the US, cutting the price of one particular variant by as much as $300 just weeks before the expected debut of the Pixel 11 series. The timing has fuelled speculation that the company is clearing inventory ahead of its next flagship launch, although the generous offer is limited to a single configuration. The situation is markedly different in India, where flagship Pixel prices remain largely unchanged despite the approaching launch of the next generation.

Google Pixel 10 Pro gets its biggest official price cut

The standout deal is available on the 128GB Pixel 10 Pro in the Obsidian colour, which has dropped to $699 on the US Google Store. The discount is the deepest official price cut the phone has received so far, exceeding the previous Prime Day offer by an additional $50. The same pricing is also available through Amazon in the US.

Interestingly, the offer applies only to this specific storage and colour combination. Google has not explained why, but the limited discount has prompted speculation that the company could be clearing excess stock before unveiling the Pixel 11 lineup.

Other Pixel 10 Pro models are also on sale, though with smaller discounts. Google is currently offering up to $250 off the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, matching the promotions seen during Prime Day. However, availability is becoming limited. The Porcelain finish has already gone out of stock, with customers now able to join a waitlist, while several storage options in other colours are also becoming difficult to find.

The standard Pixel 10 has also received a price cut in the US and is currently available for $599 after a $200 discount. These offers are expected to remain valid until 26 July, making them some of the final promotions before Google's next flagship launch.

But what about in India?

Indian buyers are not seeing similar discounts on Google's premium Pixel models. The Pixel 10 Pro continues to retail at its launch price of Rs 1,09,999, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold remains priced at Rs 1,72,999.

The only notable reduction is on the standard Pixel 10, which is currently available for Rs 68,032, down from its original launch price of Rs 79,999. That represents a saving of nearly Rs 12,000, making it the most attractive Pixel deal currently available in India.

For anyone hoping for substantial reductions on the Pro models before the next generation arrives, those discounts have yet to materialise.

Pixel 11 launch expected in August

Google is widely expected to unveil the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event on August 12. Ahead of the announcement, a recent leak suggests the company may overhaul its pricing and storage strategy.

According to a leak, Google could eliminate the 128GB base storage option across the Pixel 11 range. Instead, every model may start with 256GB of storage. While buyers would receive double the entry-level capacity, the change is also expected to be accompanied by higher starting prices for several models.

A fresh leak from Mystic Leaks has offered another look at Google's upcoming Pixel 11 Pro Fold, this time revealing the foldable in a new Pine green colourway. The image shows the device featuring a light gold metal frame paired with a soft green rear panel, giving a clearer look at Google's next-generation premium foldable.

The leak also reveals subtle design changes, including a redesigned rear camera module. The updated camera island now integrates the LED flash and microphone within the camera cut-outs, marking a slight refinement over the previous model.

Earlier leaks had showcased the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in a black finish.

If accurate, the move would bring Google's flagship lineup in line with a broader industry trend, where smartphone makers are increasing both base storage and retail prices. With the Pixel 11 launch just around the corner, the current discounts on the Pixel 10 range could represent one of the last opportunities for buyers to pick up Google's existing flagship at a lower price.
