Apple has slightly increased the price of individual AppleCare+ subscriptions, marking its latest pricing adjustment amid broader industry challenges, including the global memory shortage.

Monthly AppleCare+ plans for Macs and iPads now cost 50 cents more, while annual subscriptions have increased by $5. The revised pricing applies only to new subscribers, with existing customers retaining their current rates. For example, AppleCare+ for a new 13-inch MacBook Air now costs $7.99 per month, up from $7.49, or $79.99 annually instead of $74.99.

Apple's recent hardware price hike in India

Apple had previously increased the prices of devices across multiple product categories in India, with MacBooks, desktop Macs, iPads, Apple TV models, and HomePod speakers all becoming more expensive. The company attributed the price revision to rising DRAM and NAND flash storage costs.

The M5 MacBook Pro now starts at Rs. 2,39,900, compared with its earlier price of Rs. 1,69,900. Meanwhile, the M5 Max variant now costs Rs. 4,99,900, a substantial jump from its previous price of Rs. 3,99,900.

The company's home entertainment portfolio was also affected. The Apple TV 4K now retails at Rs. 25,900, compared with its previous price of Rs. 14,900, while the HomePod mini has increased from Rs. 10,900 to Rs. 15,900.
