Apple WWDC 2026: Here’s what the redesigned Siri may look like

Apple has confirmed that its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026 will take place from June 8, where it is expected to unveil the next generation of its operating systems. This includes iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27, all set to roll out later in the year.

While we have seen such updates every year, revamped Siri is anticipated to be the centrepiece of the event.

Clues about Apple’s plans may already be hidden in plain sight. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the WWDC 2026 logo subtly hints at a major overhaul for Siri. The visual, which highlights “26” with a glowing effect, is believed to mirror a new interface design centred around a luminous cursor and refined animations.

The revamped Siri experience is expected to feel more like a chatbot, enabling more natural, back-and-forth conversations. Apple is also reportedly preparing a standalone Siri app, where users will be able to view conversation history and interact more fluidly with the assistant. Another key upgrade could allow Siri to process multiple commands simultaneously, pushing it closer to modern AI assistants.

Gurman suggests that Siri’s new interface will extend to the Dynamic Island, where users may see a “Search or Ask” prompt accompanied by a subtle glow effect when the assistant is activated. A similar visual treatment could appear in the search bar within the dedicated Siri app.

Apple is also said to be working on support for third-party AI agents, alongside long-promised contextual intelligence features. However, some of these upgrades may be limited to newer devices, particularly models from the iPhone 15 Pro series onwards, due to compatibility with Apple Intelligence.

Beyond AI, iOS 27 is expected to focus heavily on performance and stability, drawing comparisons to Apple’s Snow Leopard era, which prioritised refinement over radical changes. Improvements in speed, battery life and overall reliability are likely to be key talking points at the event.

At the same time, smaller usability enhancements are also on the horizon. One notable addition could be “Undo” and “Redo” options within the Home Screen customisation menu. Currently, users can access options like Add Widget, Customize, Edit Wallpaper and Edit Pages, but reversing changes is not always intuitive. The new controls aim to simplify that process and make personalisation more user-friendly.

Apple is also expected to introduce features tailored for enterprise and education users, signalling a broader push to strengthen its ecosystem across different segments.

While Gurman notes that some interface elements could still evolve before the official reveal, the presence of these hints in Apple’s marketing suggests that the company is confident about the direction it is taking.

Following its unveiling at WWDC, the iOS 27 beta is expected to roll out in June, with a stable release arriving in September alongside new iPhone models.
