The next flagship smartphone battle is already beginning to take shape, even though Apple and Google have yet to formally announce their upcoming premium devices. A steady stream of leaks over the past few months has painted an increasingly detailed picture of what could be on offer with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro, from display upgrades and camera hardware to processors, pricing and launch schedules.

Neither company has confirmed any specifications, meaning the information remains speculative. Even so, the rumours provide an early look at how both brands may position their top-end smartphones in 2026. Based on leaked information, Apple is unlikely to introduce a dramatic redesign with the iPhone 18 Pro. Instead, the device is expected to closely resemble its predecessor, retaining the premium construction and a large rectangular camera housing on the rear that accommodates three sensors. While the overall appearance may stay familiar, reports suggest Apple could introduce a fresh range of colour options for this year's Pro model.

The display is rumoured to measure 6.3 inches and use an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, continuing Apple's focus on high-end display quality.

Google, meanwhile, also appears to be taking an evolutionary rather than revolutionary approach to design. If current timelines prove accurate, Google could unveil the Pixel 11 Pro in August 12, while Apple is widely expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro during its traditional September launch event.
