Anthropic is giving Claude Fable 5 a longer runway within its paid subscription plans. The company has extended promotional, subscription-included access to its Mythos-class flagship model through July 19, while also increasing Claude Code's weekly rate limits by 50% for the same period.

The offer applies to Pro, Max, Team, and premium seat-based Enterprise subscribers. Eligible users can continue using Fable 5 for up to 50% of their weekly usage limits at no additional cost until July 19 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.

Once the promotional period ends, users will have the option of switching to usage-based credits to continue using Fable 5 or falling back to Anthropic's standard Claude models under their regular weekly usage limits.

Users are not required to claim the offer or enable any additional settings. The extension is already available across Claude Web, Claude Mobile, Claude Desktop, Claude Code Workbench, and Claude Code.

The promotion does not apply to standard seats on legacy or Enterprise plans, while API access to Fable 5 continues to be billed separately at the standard usage rates.

Second extension to the deadline

This marks the second time Anthropic has extended the promotional period. When Claude Fable 5 launched on July 1, the company had originally planned to offer the 50% subscription allowance until July 7, after which usage would shift to paid usage credits, priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.

The extension also comes amid intensifying competition in the AI market. OpenAI recently expanded the general availability of its GPT-5.6 model family, including Sol, which has posted performance comparable to Anthropic's Fable 5 across several industry benchmarks. According to Artificial Analysis, Sol trails Fable 5 by just one point on its Intelligence Index while offering significantly lower inference costs. OpenAI has also highlighted Sol's stronger performance on coding-focused benchmarks such as Terminal-Bench 2.1.
