Novak Djokovic makes big statement on possible cricket collab with Virat Kohli: 'Planning to come to India'
Novak Djokovic and Virat Kohli will be seen playing cricket soon as the tennis legend plans to visit India in the near future with a meeting with the former India captain on the cards.
Tennis legend Novak Djokovic will be in India soon and he will be playing cricket alongside Virat Kohli. This is what the former World No.1 has stated once again, leaving fans brimming with excitement over the possible collaboration between two of the biggest stars of their sport.
Ahead of the 2026 Wimbledon, Djokovic revealed that he has been in touch with Kohli over the last few years over text even as the two legends are yet to meet in person. He also said that he would be soon playing cricket and tennis with Kohli as he is planning to visit India.
Djokovic's big announcement
Speaking ahead of Wimbledon, Djokovic said that he will come to India soon but did not reveal the dates.
Talking about his relationship with Kohli, Djokovic said, "We have not met in person, we have texted, we have been in touch for the last few years, following each other, supporting each other, admiring each other's careers - hopefully I will get a chance to meet him in person & play some tennis, play some cricket"

Djokovic has previously also hailed Kohli and said that he started following cricket because of the former India captain.
“Yes, Virat is a friend and someone I, of course, respect and admire. He’s actually, to be honest, the reason why I started following cricket. I hadn’t followed it before, but through him, I started following it more,” Djokovic had said previously.
“We keep in touch, and hopefully, when I come, I don’t want to say if, but when I come to India, hopefully he can join me. We could do a little bit of tennis and a little bit of cricket, have fun, and just spread positive, good vibes while celebrating sport,” the former World No 1 had stated then.
