Super Bowl LIX, Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Highlights: Kansas City Chiefs will be aiming to become the first team in the history of the National Football league (NFL) to achieve a 'three-peat' when they face Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, USA on Sunday.

The upcoming showdown at the 74,000-capacity Caesars Superdome, which gets underway at at 5.30 pm Central Time (11.30 pm GMT/5 am on 10 February in India), will be the second time in three years that the Chiefs and the Eagles will be locking horns in the biggest American sporting event of them all.

The Chiefs had prevailed over the Eagles by three points (38-35) in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, and would successfully retain the Vince Lombardi Trophy the following year by defeating the San Francisco 49ers by a similar margin (25-22).

And on Sunday, the Chiefs will not only become the first team in NFL history to win a hat-trick of Super Bowls, they will also go level with the 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys' five titles to become the joint-second-most successful team in the league's history.

The Eagles' only Super Bowl triumph had taken place in 2018 when they halted Tom Brady's New England Patriots 41-33 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Chiefs and the Eagles registered contrasting victories in their respective Conference Championships en route to the Super Bowl. The former beat Buffalo Bills 32-29 while the Eagles thrashed the Washington Commanders 55-23.

Who all are expected to attend Super Bowl LIX? 

The upcoming showdown will also be historic as it will be attended by Donald Trump, who will become the first-ever sitting US president to attend a Super Bowl. Also in attendance will be pop mega star Taylor Swift whose partner Travis Kelce will be in action on the field hoping to guide the Chiefs to their fifth Super Bowl victory.

Additionally, Hip-Hop icon Kendrick Lamar will be headlining this year's Super Bowl half-time show.
