'Let’s keep the Indian flag flying high': Nita Ambani has a special message ahead of IOC Session in Mumbai

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will hold its 141st session in Mumbai from 15 to 17 October, marking a return to India after four decades since the last session which was held in New Delhi in 1983. Ahead of the Mumbai IOC session, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde extended a warm welcome to International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach and Indian IOC member Nita Ambani on 10 October.Read: How India won the hosting rights for 141st International Olympic Committee SessionThe IOC Executive Board (EB) meeting will also be taking place on 12 and 13 October, just before the main session. The Opening Ceremony of the event is scheduled for 14 October, to be hosted at the state-of-the-art Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, situated in the Bandra-Kurla Complex. Top agenda of the meetingApart from this, the grand theatre at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) will host the Opening Ceremony, while the IOC session meeting will be held in the exhibition hall.Extending a warm welcome to all the delegates, Indian IOC member Nita Ambani said, "We all will welcome all the delegates from all over the world to our city Mumbai. We will be hosting the Olympic session in India after 40 years at NMACC. It is such a happy moment to welcome delegates from over 80 countries. Let’s keep the Indian flag flying high. On behalf of all Indians a big Swagatam to all the delegates."
